She writes a column, serves on a governmental commission regarding juvenile justice and delinquency prevention, serves on the Board of Directors of a large mental health non-profit organization, and serves on the Child Abuse Prevention Council. In addition, she has written a book called, The Critical Role of Parenting in Human Development, published by Routledge in August 2014.
